I have worked in the early childhood industry for over 26 years in a number of different early childhood settings. During these years I completed my Associate Diploma in Early Childhood, a Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies and completed (upgrade to) a Bachelor of Education specialising in Early childhood.
My metaphor for Teaching is, ‘Teaching is a Creative Process’. As a creative teacher, I continually look for innovative resources and teaching strategies that allow children to construct their own understanding. Creative teaching is using imaginative approaches to make learning more interesting, exciting and effective. I believe that children learn through play and that children should be provided with many opportunities to engage in self-initiated and interest-driven experiences.
I am married to Mark and I have two beautiful children aged 18 and 20 who both attended a wonderful C and K service many years ago. As a family, we love to camp and 4 Wheel Drive.
